I’m amused by the fact that “keiju” is Finnish for “fairy”. Sounds like a cool conworld, anyway.
I actually think that is part of what ended up making that name. The race has been named that forever, but they initially were the “elves” in that they were taller, thinner, and all around more elf-like. As I became disenchanted with that idea (the idea of going with a traditional high fantasy world/realm), I made them more and more reptilian until I decided to just do away with the “human” aspect of them entirely in favor of a full reptilian mode. Keiju, if I remember correctly, was a result I got when translating “elf” and related words into various languages, mostly scandinavian ones, since I pictured their language more closely mimicking that sort of cadence. So yeah.
And thanks for the compliment. I’ve spent loads of time on it and it’s finally at a point where I don’t feel like hiding it all away from everyone.
